This is the second of the two volumes enclosed within the painted folder. The second volume constituting Canailles II, III, IV... had a run of only 20 copies compared to the first volume's run of 50 copies in its limited edition. Canal Street is the title of a series of 50 "sound collages" composed in the 1970's. Each pice blends phrases from the documentation that accompanies the communication devices bought on Canal Street NYC. Each "sound collage" was printed in wood cut type by Gianni Bertini.
