Scope and Contents

The circular, handwritten work in ink upon five commercial dishes consisted of recipes interspersed with romantic phrases thereby creating an erotic text. The hands of this clock-like object each have a letter at their ends that spells, "Sylvester" after the poet Dom Sylvester Houedard. However, the arrangement of the gears which staggers the letters from ever lining up to form this word. The background creates a subtle Moire effect as the hands move across it. The clock was made by Kenelm Cox on behalf of Dom Sylvester Houedard. According to William Allen, bookseller, it was a surprise gift from Cox to Houedard. -- Source of annotation: Marvin or Ruth Sackner.

Symphonic Concrete Cine-Text, 2006

Scope and Contents Matthew Abess, a second year undergraduate student at the University of Pennsylvania, poet and scholar, spent the summer of 2006 researching the work of the British poet, Bob Cobbing in the Sackner Archive. In honor of the Sackner's 50th wedding anniversary, Matthew conceived of a poetic interpretation by mining the letters R-U-T-H and M-A-R-V-I-N in Cobbing's bibliographic entries in their original positions on the page and reprocessing the letters on 50 pages on a photocopier so that the letters on the final page are completely obscured and abstract. Metaphorically, the letters take on a new beautiful life and interpretation. Also included are six pages of working notes. Scope and Contents Wilipedia: This is the first book published by Felipe Boso (Villarramiel Field , June 1 of 1924 - Meckenheim , Germany , February 3 of 1983, the pseudonym used by the poet Spanish Felipe Segundo Fernandez Alonso. He studied at the Colegio San Jose de Valladolid, where his uncle, the historian and Jesuit priest Luis Fernandez Martin , a professor and prefect of studies. After high school he studied Philosophy and Letters at the University of Santiago de Compostela , graduating in 1948. After a brief stint in the Faculty of Law at Salamanca , in 1950 he moved to Madrid to enroll in the School of Geosciences . In December 1952, traveled as a Fellow to Germany , where he continued his studies at the University of Bonn. In early 1955 he met Antje Reumann , a law student who married the same year, taking up residence in Germany.
