The 10 poets in this anthology each contributed three prints. Harmut Kruger made a three dimensional alphabet that has been drawn to form the exterior surface of a dwelling. Some of the prints appear to have been made from letraset collages & others by distortions of typefaces in a photocopying machine. In general, these black & white prints emphasize the three dimensionality of letters. Versations, 1980
Lehrer indicates that Versations is made up of sounds in a space that can have personal meaning to the reader, or can be used as a score or script for a performance of characters listed at the top of each page. "Time moves from top to bottom. The performance progresses one page at a time. Notations that occur on the same horizontal line are performed simultaneously. Line lengths are determined by breath breaks as in verse but the reading as in conversation is generally fluid. Most speeches have typographic indicators for particular emphasis, volume, or emotion. Consists of Accame's comments on the series of drawings with the same title held by the Sackner Archive. He indicates that he was the first to translate Jarry's poetry into Italian. The work deals with a teatise on pointology. As Accame explains, "If pataphysic is, by definition, the 'science of particulars,' what there is more particular than a point? ...'point becomes the place where beginning and end meet each other,' as you can also read in my tables." -- Source of annotation: Marvin or Ruth Sackner.
