Scope and Contents

The structure of the poetic space is similar to Mallarme's "Un Coup de Des" with varied typefaces and sizes spaced on the surface of the cards which must be spread flat as a grid to be read. Doubleday Hypertext #3 / Scott McCarney., 1995

 Item
Identifier: CC-06801-6921
Scope and Contents

McCarney removed the covers of this encyclopedia and constructed a back case from cardboard that he covered in cloth. The opened front exposes groups of collaged pages whose edges have been chiseled out to form a zig-zag pattern. The horizontal dimensions of these 12 groups of pages become progressively smaller from back to front. -- Source of annotation: Marvin or Ruth Sackner.
