Sanders has written a clear history of the United States from 1900 - 1939 in blank verse interposed with a slight amount of visual poetics.There are 300 copies of the hard cover edition and an unspecified number of soft cover copies. Of these 300 copies, 125 were numbered and signed by Sanders (also held by Sackner Archive) and 26 copies in boards by Earle Gray were lettered and signed by Sanders (current copy). Burroughs with most of the material lent by Robert Jackson, a Cleveland book collector. This catalogue was presented at the conference and exhibition sponsored by OSU Rare Books and Manuscripts Library. The exhibition was curated by John M Bennett who organized the event, edited the catalogue and conducted the presentations. Marvin Sackner was the keynote speaker for the conference and presented a powerpoint talk, "A Survey of the Sackner Archive." Geoffrey D. Smith, Director of Rare Books, wrote an inciteful essay, "Collecting the New." John M. The Sackner Archive lent several works of the three artist-poets to the exhibition including Cleveland Prints, The North American Book of the Dead, Scarab Poems by d.a. levy; The Journal of Albion Moonlight, Cloth of the Tempest, Sleepers Awake by Kenneth Patchen; 18th Dynasty Egyptian Turnon by D.r. Wagner. Although there was no check list with the catalogue, the superb installation photographs of the books and prints in cases more than make up for this oversight. The suite of collages entitled Zen Concrete on display at this exhibition were purchased by the Sackners from Ingrid Swanberg in 2008. -- Source of annotation: Marvin or Ruth Sackner.

Grumman made this one of two colllages after he visited the Sackner Artchive a day previously. In this collage, the letter 'P' ithat completes the word "POEM" s absent. Analetter Anarchia Linguistic for a Measure of Language, 1965
Poster includes written Italian words and words using a made-up language typical of Oberto's style of presentations. Oberto ("OM") [1925-2011] was a visual poet, asemic writer, anarchist, anartist, founder of the seminal vispo mag "Ana etcetera" (1958-70). He exhibited in solo and collective shows (with Munari, Dorfles, Fontana and many others) from the 50s up to 2011. He also made experimental movies, and wrote philosophical essays about writing & art.
