By heavier and lighter typing and layers of over painting, eight larger circles emerge in a circle around the surface of the drawings. They resemble phases of the moon. Ferre makes these meditative works by preparing the paper with layers of plaster of paris, then typing the o's, overpainting the surface and finishing with a coat of wax. -- Source of annotation: Marvin or Ruth Sackner.
