Ars Libri maintains the largest stock in America of rare and out-of-print books on art. Founded in 1976, it has an international reputation as a source for scholars, collectors, artists, and everyone else with an interest in the visual arts.

Scope and Contents

El Lissitzky's "Beat the Whites with the Red Wedge" is described and documented. The dimensions of this poster which are smaller than the one in the Lenin Library more closely fit with the example held by the Sackner Archive. It probably should be considered a second state of the original lithograph. The annotation notes ... "several identical examples which have recently come to light." The offered example was owned by Solomon Telingater. -- Source of annotation: Marvin or Ruth Sackner.
