The recto of this card depicts a black and white photographic portrait of Thomas Merton; the verso, mentions the following facts, Born in Prades, France Jan. 31, 1915, Entered Gethsemani Abbey Dec. 10, 1941, Died in Bangkok, Thailand Dec. 10, 1998. It prints the following quote from The Sign of Jonas, "I have always overshadowed Jonas with My mercy... Have you had sight of me, Jonas My child?
