Biography

Stanely L. Weinberg taught for many years at various New York City High Schools, as well as teaching at Ottumwa High School in Iowa. He also taught at Manhattan College, City College, and the Brooklyn Institute of Arts and Sciencs, as well as teaching on television and several schools of nursing. His widely used laboratory exercises have been published by the Biological Sciences Research Council.

Scope and Contents

Papers of well regarded science teacher and writer of widely-used laboratory exercises. Included in this collection are Weinberg's textbook and pilot pamphlet manuscripts (lab exercises for the classroom) with research materials and notes. Professional correspondence and documents, published articles, and materials related to Committees of Correspondence, the present day National Center for Science Education. There are unprocessed/digitized film loops, minimal ephemera, herbarium, and photographs of Weinberg.
