Scope and Contents The accompanying CD consists of the text of the book. in addition to this trade edition, 30 copies were signed and included an original work by Hubaut. From the WEB site of the publisher, the following is rerproduced. "La lecture exige le maniement precis de cet instrument etrange et indocile : la langue, molle comme une saucisse, informe comme un etron, qui resiste et deforme les mots dans le moule de la bouche. La lecture se fait comme une grimace, un effort demesure pour expulser le petrole des mots colles au palais et aux dents de l'homme moule et trou et lui-meme etron, incapable de se delier la langue comme il est impuissant à se detacher du corps corrompu de ce qui se nomme nation, sacrifice, priere ou Dieu. It was given to the Sackners during his stay in their apartment for his performance during the celebration of an exhibition entitled, "Tour de France/Florida" held at the Frost Museum in Miami in January 2012. The drawing was done on the facing pages of the Table of Contents. The book consists of critical analysis of Hubaut's work by Restany, Lebel and Frank, reproductions of polaroid photographs featuring Hubaut performing in his white jacket painted with distinguishing signs, and comments by Hubaut on these photographs. Forty-eight reproductions of colored polaroid photographs constitute a section of this book. All have the identical format and are printed on a black background. The photographs are centered, one to a page. The caption "hobby or not hobby -- mon dada comme un violin" is printed at the top of each page in white. This book illustrates and describes the monochromatique color themed events organized and produced by Hubaut in various towns in France and Japan. Hubaut writes, "I have chosen to develop my current practice on colour from the three founding elements in modern art - the monochrome, the ready-made and the gesture. I construct my monchrome 'sites' from given or borrowed objects donated by a public often isolated from the art melieu. This is a tactic to reach a wider audience."
