By spreading open the cover one can read the following: "lay open this book - and you will see - typophilia - undisguised - a quaint affliction - illustrated - by mesostich - paeans to - the queen of letters." Each double opened page is printed with a different font of the letter Q and with a large stylized reproduction of part of the font. A mesostic poem on each page contains the name of the 27 typefaces, in alphabetical order, used for the letter Q, e.g., anna, bookman, castellar, didot, eva, felix, etc. -- Source of annotation: Marvin or Ruth Sackner.
