Nims / Sackner, Marvin ; Rickles, Lee., 1993
This book by Herbert S. Terrace entitled, "NIM: A Chimpanzee Who Learned Sign Language" was altered by Sackner and Rickles. The dust jacket title was altered to NIMS by Sackner by adding an 'S.' On the dust jacket photograph of NIM, Rickles collaged a piece of the blue Respibands sold by Sackner's company to monitor respiration in babies. This symposium was subtitled "Ricerche verbovisuali delle seconde avanguardie tra atttualita e tradizione and presented at the Museo di Arte Moderna e Contemporanea di Trento e Rovereto. Ruth and Marvin Sackner were invited to this symposium at MART where Marvin presented "The Collector as Performer." The lecture was translated into Italian by Maria Francescotti.
