EARNS SCHOLARSHIP - Mary Jo Peiffer (left), Washington High School senior, is shown here as she received word from Mrs. Phil Weldin of Washington that she had been awarded the $500 freshman girls scholarship offered by the Iowa Federation of Women's Clubs.; "SERVICE CARNIVAL" AT Y HERE SATURDAY — One of the highlights of the carnival was a trampoline booth equipped with a trampoline fron the Nissen Company of Cedar Rapids. A State University of Iowa gymnastic student put on demonstrations on the trampoline during the evening. [Note: Unpublished and unidentified. Presumably the young man on the trampoline is the UI student. mk]; YMCA ACTIVITIES - Volunteer archery instructor, William Hammer and two youths, Roger Harris, son of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Harris, and Johnny Miller, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harry V.
