Sixteen years old seems to be a rather young age for a person to retire from his chosen field, except when that field is a newspaper carrier boy. The thing which puts Richard Leavitt in the enviable position, not only of other youths but also many adults, is that during the nearly five years he carried papers for the Evening Journal he saved a total of $1,000. Richard said he arrived at that total by putting aside amounts ranging from $1 to $6.50 each week while carrying papers. What is he going to do with all that money now?
