Unpublished out-take from Brighton Whoopee Days Parade. Unidentified.; One of the many colorful floats in the parade at Brighton Tuesday afternoon depicts the happy spirit of their annual Whoopee Days celebration. The parade, which was scheduled to start at 1:30 but was delayed for about a half hour due to rain, led off the annual two day celebration at Brighton. Held following the parade was a little League baseball game at the Brighton field with the Brighton nine defeating a team from Richland by a 5-3 score. During the evening a horse pulling contest was held with a total of $250 in prize money awarded to the winners in the two classes. A dance was held in the high school gym after the contest. A tractor pulling contest, stage show and another dance will be held Wednesday afternoon and evening in a climax of the annual two day event.; At an Eagle Scout Court of Honor held Monday night at the Eldon Yeggy farm home north of Riverside, Carl Kiefer, son of Mr. and Mrs Robert Kiefer of Riverside received the honored Eagle Scout Badge. Carl has been in the scouting program as a member of the Riverside troop for the past five years. Various other awards were presented to the scouts at the program and the scouts themselves staged several skits and demonstrations for parents and friends attending the meeting.
