She is the mother of Mrs. Herbert Stamats of Cedar Rapids. Mr. Stamats is a prominent business man of that city and owns and manages a large publishing operation.; At his desk in Lincoln Grade School here is the new principal, E. Kelly Schlapkohl, who had served as assistant superintendent at the Wellman school before coming here this year. Mr. Schlapkohl says he has already held several committee meeetings with the schools PTA leaders and feels the organization will do a fine job for the school this year. The new principal is married and the father of two young girls.; The fourth in a series of live first aid training classes was held in the high school building here Thursday night with approximately 25 persons attending. Looking on is Francis (Bucky) James. Both James and Rev. Hawkins are school bus drivers for the city public school system. School officials said that although the first aid class, which is being put on by the school under the sponsorship of the local Red Cross, is being given primarily for the bus drivers, the class is also attended by other personnel including grade school principals, teachers and school secretaries.; An invitation extended by John Graber, right, senior student at Wayland High School, resulted Thursday afternoon in a visit to the high school by congressman Fred Schwengel, left.
