General

Winning second place in the homecoming float judging Friday afternoon was this display made by the members of the sophomore class. The theme of the float was "We'll Pound The Hlounds." The junior class float was awarded third place with the freshmen class entry taking fourth place. Fifth place went to the float entered by the Future Farmers of America chapter. The floats were exhibited during the half-time of Friday night's game with the winners announced following the introduction of the annual homecoming queen and her attendants.; Taking first place in the parade of floats during Friday's annual homecoming festivities was this one made by the senior class. The theme of the Float was "Which Way Did They Go?", which would also have seemed to be the expression used by the Ft. Madison team during the first half of the homecoming game Friday evening at Case Field when the visitors were given a rough welcome and trailed 37-6 at half-time. The homecoming parade, complete with floats and the high school marching band, took place around the square at 3 o'clock Friday afternoon.
