#21 Women Bowling Champs — Trophies for first place in the team competition were given to members of Roe's Heating team. Left to right, back row, Mrs. Loren Day, Mrs. Joan Hutchison, Mrs. Bill Patterson. Mrs. Bob Lewe, left front, and Mrs. Bob Roe, right.; #22 Former Women of The Year — Seven of the eight honored women are, from left to right, back row, Mrs. Laton Schooley of Brighton, Mrs. Fred Skola of Kalona, Mrs. Meredith Mass Jr. of near Kalona, and Mrs. J.H. Jones of Crawfordsville. Seated from left to right are, Mrs. William Sitler of Washington; Mrs. Ellery Foster of Wellman, and Mrs. L.C. Swain, also of Wellman. Mrs. Richard Stephens was the eighth woman of the group but was unable to attend Thursday's meeting.; #22 SCS Commissioners - Three of these men have had the responsibility of directing activities in the Washington Conty Soil District during the past year. The fourth was recently elected to start a six year term on the Commission. Slanding ot the left is Lawrence Miksch, recently named chairman of the group for the coming year. Elmer Steele of Riverside (standing, right), is the new member of the group this year. Seated at the left is Gene Stephens of Ainsworth whose term did not expire this year. Oren Birkey (seated, right) is the retiring chair.man of the commission, having served a six year term.; #22 Three of the four members of the local Soil Conservation Service Work Unit staff: Paul Boettcher, seated left, is the work unit conservationist and head of the office here. James Dunston, center, is a conservation aid and Mrs. Grant McKune, seated right, is office clerk. Not shown in the picture is G.V. Rosenkild, soil conservation technician.
