#25 The National Guard and the Ordnance Reserve unit left Washington for two weeks of summer training. The National Guard unit, commanded by Capt. Harold Stephens, is in Fort Knox, Ky., and the Ordnance unit under the command of Capt. Edsall Brown, is in Camp McCoy, Wis. From left to right are Leland Horras, Paul Kern and David Owen.; #26 Civil Defense Committee Prepares Exhibit - At this year's Washington County Fair a special civil defense exhibit will be located just outside the regular commercial exhibit hail. At a recent committee meeting are, from left to right, Mrs. Joe Jones of Crawfordsville, Farm Bureau Women; Mrs. Charles Livingston of Washington, Legion Auxiliary; Mrs. Delbert Earll of Washington, V.F.W.
