The truck and chickens belonged to Mr. and Mrs. Bill Haines who operate a farm a mile north of Haskins.; #04 Fatal Wayland Wreck - A Wayland man, Lester R. Rowland, died in the wreckage of the Volkswagen Saturday afternoon. The car was badly wrecked when it left the road on the Wayland-Washington road. A passenger, Dale Wiggins, 39, of Mt. Pleasant, was badly injured.
