All brass with double links three strands chain suspension and very unusual decorative openings cut all over the surface of the top and the bottom. Perhaps this was to promote air getting to the candle flame. From the sale website: "It's a very attractive chrysanthemum-like openwork brass lantern. The fire bag is missing in the shape like a Odawara lantern, but all three nails for fixing the top and bottom are alive and well, so I think it can be put into practical use.
