Materials Specific Details

All brass with double links three strands chain suspension and very unusual decorative openings cut all over the surface of the top and the bottom. Perhaps this was to promote air getting to the candle flame. From the sale website: "It's a very attractive chrysanthemum-like openwork brass lantern. The fire bag is missing in the shape like a Odawara lantern, but all three nails for fixing the top and bottom are alive and well, so I think it can be put into practical use. Double round ring, sling, good, paper case, etc. on the surface, but it is solid. It's an original hemp bag. The degree is good. We will exhibit it for the first time. The body diameter is about 11cm, and the height is about 4cm [from top to bottom] when it is weighted up and down."
