The papers of Rodger Gerberding and Kathleen Jurgens show the breadth and depth of their respective professional careers in the Science fiction, fantasy, and horror realm throughout the 1980s - 2000s. There are three major series in this collection: KATHLEEN JURGENS which inlcudes artist correspondence, manuscripts, publications, SPWAO (the Small Press Writers and Artist's Organization), and her writing and assignments from her time at the University of Iowa as well as a small sampling of awards and articles. GERBERDING AND JURGENS, which includes correspondence, convention materials, articles, and a rich collection of Fantasy and horror magazine and small press publications of which Jurgens was a featured author or editor and Gerberding was a featured illustrator, and a small sampling of personal materials such as the social and cultural events they attended and photographs.
