Biographical / Historical

Mr. Ver Duft donated these manuscripts to the University of Iowa over a period of years, beginning in 1948. John Talbot donated further materials in 2003. A donation from the Des Moines Public Library further enriched this collection in 2008.

Abstract

Born in Prairie City, Iowa, Ver Duft became an artist and writer. He is represented in this collection by three poems: Bon Voyage, 'Sixties!' Poem, 1973; Epistle to a Poet, Bound, But Outer, 1965; and Inner Course in Time, Flesh and Eidolon.

Immediate Source of Acquisition

Mr. Ver Duft donated these manuscripts to the University of Iowa over a peridod of years, beginning in 1948. The 2003 addendum was donated by John Talbot.
