Scope and Contents

This collection of paintings from Ferner Nuhn portrays fellow colonists of myself and his wife Ruth Suckow in the early 1930s at Yaddo, the art colony near Saratoga Springs, New York. Individuals from the MacDowell Colongy in Peterborough, New Hampshire is also represented. It should be noted that the John Cowper Powys, Henry A. Wallace, and Robert Frost were made later in other circumstances (note from the collection description).
