Scope and Contents

This collection compiles the professional work of Romanian poet, author, and NPR commentator Andrei Codrescu. It's split into 9 series: A/V, ART, BIOGRAPHICAL, CORRESPONDENCE, "JIM GUSTAFSON, GHERASIM LUCA, JEFFREY MILLER," PROFESSIONAL WORK, EPHEMERA, PHOTOGRAPHS, and WRITINGS.

The A/V series includes recordings of workshops, readings, and other events, as well Codrescu's born-digital files. Both the ART and WRITINGS series compile works by Codrescu and others. WRITINGS also contains Codrescu's notebooks, and some of the series' novel or essay materials include notes and/or correspondence. The PROFESSIONAL WORK series contains his lectures, events attended, Exquisite Corpse materials, podcast scripts and research, interviews, and materials from his time at LSU.

Biographical / Historical

Andrei Codrescu was born in Romania on December 20, 1946. He emigrated to the United States in 1966. Codrescu is a poet, novelist, essayist, screenwriter, and commentator for NPR. He is the winner of the Ovid Prize for poetry.
