EDGAR H. BITTLE West Des Moines Republican District 66 Born in Des Moines. Attended Windsor School in Des Moines. Graduated Des Moines Roosevelt High School with the C. O. Hoyt Citizenship Award. Attended Cornell University, Ithaca, N.Y., and graduated with B.A. in government. Graduated with Juris Doctor degree from the University of Michigan 1967. Married (wife: Barbara), one son, Brad, two daughters, Wendy and Debbie. Des Moines attorney and partner in the firm of Herrick, Langdon, Belin, and Harris. Iowa's reporter to American Bar Association's municipal home rule subcommittee. Member National Organization on legal Problems of Education. Served as Organization Chairman Polk County Republican Central Committee, 1968 to 1972. An elder of Central Presbyterian Church, Acanthus Lodge and Sertoma Club of Des Moines. First term in Iowa House.
