Biographical / Historical
The Quadrangle Residence Hall was built in 1920 on the west side of University of Iowa's campus. Originally meant to be an office base for WWI soldiers, the building was turned into an all men's dormitory that became a central hub of student activities.
The Quadrangle Association was a set of elected members of the residence hall that governed the building and enforced rules, safety, and equity among the students living within the dormitory.
