Scope and Contents
The N. N. Club of Iowa City records date from 2012 and measure 0.25 linear inches. The records are arranged into one series: Biographical.
The Biographical series (2012) consists of one booklet made by the club historian, Lolly Eggers, in 2012 for the club’s 126th anniversary of its founding. This booklet describes the club’s history, a list of all the members who have ever participated in the club, and an overview of more than 500 biographic works that the club studied from 1936 to 2012. This overview, which was compiled from archival material found at the State Historical Society of Iowa, Iowa City, lists the topic or subject of each biography studied, as well as the year that it was studied, the author of the biography, which member presented over that biography, whether the biography’s subject was male or female, and occasionally the title or a short summary of the biography. Subjects of these biographies include political leaders, artists, scientists, athletes, and those who fought for women’s issues.
