Scope and Contents
The drawings that depict the text of the Haiku poems are also illustrated in an abstract manner by Lalou. They were executed on heavy Fabriano paper. The large bold brush strokes that are done on several pages undoubtedly relate to Japanese calligraphers. The drawings are meant to be rotated in the case for visual display. -- Source of annotation: Marvin or Ruth Sackner.
