Scope and Contents

The texts consist of questions put to the reader, e.g. " Did it all happen suddenly? / Where do we go from here ? / What are you afraid of ? / Is life wonderful ? Why should you pay less when you can pay more ? etc "The set comes w. the title and subtitle file card, plus a masthead card, and two cards w. introductions by Daniel Spoerri, Arman, Kichka Baticheff, George Brecht, William Burroughs, Christo, Diane di Prima, Brion Gysin, Dick Higgins, Allan Kaprow, Ray Johnson, Joe Jones, Alison Knowles, John Herbert McDowell, Jackson Mac Low, Nam June Paik, Benjamin Patterson, Diter Rot and James Waring. Each card contains a short, unanswerable question. The edition consisted of 500 postcard sets of which 104 were presented in a wooden box, 396 without a box, and 492 in book format. This copy is the card set without a box. This publication has the same theme and similar presentation to Jochin Gerz's "Berkeley Oracle" an exhibition catalogue held by the Sackner Archive. -- Source of annotation: Marvin or Ruth Sackner.
