Scope and Contents

Dutton defines an additive as a substance that when added in small quantities to another substance changes the second substance into a third one. For example, the meaning of the words, Abdicate-Reign is changed to Abdicate-Re(s)ign by insertion of (s or Menage a Trois-Tangle is changed to Menage a Trois-t(ri)angle by inserion of (ri). -- Source of annotation: Marvin or Ruth Sackner.
