The Althelney Club was a student club for writers officially organized in the fall of 1912. With membership open to anyone interested in the writing of literature, the club expanded to include women by 1913. They produced a series of publications under the title "The Althelney Book," featuring poetry and prose.
Author and businessman from Iowa , best known for his short story Pigs is Pigs. The papers consist of correspondence to and from Butler about his writing and the Author's League of America . His wife's correspondence is also included.
The Sam Hamod Papers consist of papers detailing Hamod's life as an Arab American poet. Hamod's poetry makes up the majority of the papers though there are several manuscripts written by Hamod critiquing and discussing other writer's poetry. Additionally, handwritten notes, publications, correspondence, and biographical materials are included.
