 Item

It consists of six illustrations of constructivistic multi-colored designs and three pages of descriptive lists. the second section, Fertilite, consists of grids of 25 colored, fantastic creatures with made-up titles below each crature in the grid boxes. Nadau writes on the back cover "Twenty-third century: The humane vermin is positively auto destructive. Unnamable unknown plants send forth on toxic lemon and fertile humus putrifying ossuaries. Doped by the moist chemicals and radioactivity, the insects become very intelligent, taking (?) the relay, and by consequence constructing gastronomique restaurants." -- Source of annotation: Marvin or Ruth Sackner.

Flag Book: Interaction Towards a Better World / Lopes, Fernando ; Wolf An., 1996

 Item
Identifier: CC-28425-29670
Scope and Contents

As described in the Nexus Press brochure 1995-1996, "The flags of 96 nations have been deconstructed and distilled into a playful book structure that invites reader manipulation. The physical movement of the folded accordion pleats produces staccato-like visual bites of color, while evoking a conceptual call for universal understanding and unity. The Flag Book intrigues by its outer simplicity: The glossy black colors...open to reveal an emphatic burst of bright visual connections between countries the world over."The paper structure for the book was done by Anna Wolf. -- Source of annotation: Marvin or Ruth Sackner.

Identifier: CC-44012-46125
Scope and Contents

Book Description (Publisher): The acclaimed author of the international bestsellers In and Out of the Garden and Sara Midda's South of France turns her genius to the universally shared emotions, charms, and mysteries of childhood. Each page of Growing Up and Other Vices is a book unto itself. Whimsical little figures illustrate Table Manners ("Do not rummage through the dish to find the tastiest morsel for yourself"); Things You Are Supposed to Grow Out Of . . .; A Noise Brought on by Nature and How to Deal with It; and Behaviour Towards Various Creatures. In a work that is both enchanting and revealing, Sara Midda wryly observes our adult imperfections. Not a drawing, not a word is untrue, not a moment untouched by a smile of recognition. 52,000 copies in print. -- Source of annotation: Marvin or Ruth Sackner.
