This is a collection of concrete poems during 1964 by the future President of the Czechoslovakian Republic. The book is divided into two sections, one that reprints Antikody, published in 1964 in Prague with contemporary book design, and the other on cheap paper with the original design. In this book which is also designated as Tangenten No.4, a small square of mirror is set in stamped out thin card pages. One glassine page overlays it with a printed magic square poem. Parts of the backing of the mirror have been scatched out by the artist and it has been glued down to the card. Poetry has been printed on the pages with the stamped out sections. This portfolio was published to accompany Hirsal and Gregorova's book of concrete poetry, job-boj, a work also held by the Sackner Archive. The print by Kolar depicts a two-headed silhouette of Hirsal and Gregorova on a background of collaged words and phrases. Scope and Contents Jakub Hanzi (internet): Jiri Valoch (1946-) theorist, art critic, columnist, exhibit curator, and conceptual artist. He is the creator of visual and conceptual poetry, photographic poetry and photographic concepts, text installations and conceptual drawings. Between 1965-1970 he studied German Language and Literature, Czech Language and Literature, and Aesthetics at the College of Philosophy (Philosophical Faculty) of Masaryk University in Brno. In the 1960s and 1970s he addressed the production of visual and conceptual poetry focused on linguistic introspection, text installations, and conceptual drawings, and events touching upon the field of body art, land art and conceptual photography. His poetic texts, bordering between word and image, gradually followed a more radical evolution. They began more to reflect his own language, work with texts becomes subordinate to a strict concept, and he returns to a traditionally-expressed, linear, poetic text: most often tied to the classic...

This book is his laureate thesis. This second volume consists of a large number of photocopied illustrations to complement Volume I. The first section features international concrete poems, the second section Italian concrete poems, the third section predominantly Italian poesia visiva and the fourth section calligraphic visual poems.
