The structure of the poetic space is similar to Mallarme's "Un Coup de Des" with varied typefaces and sizes spaced on the surface of the cards which must be spread flat as a grid to be read. This book depicts several poems first published in 1966-1967 in various periodicals. One of the poems entitled "trittico' [Italian] in English means triptych and was a popular standard format for altar paintings from the middle ages and another composed of ditto marks and entitles "die ubung" [German] in English means repetitiion. A poem entitled 'variation' morphs to variateur [French] whch in English means light dimmer.
