The handwriting on some pages has been done with graphite and on others with black paint mixed with glue to create an appearance of letters in relief. The text was written on translucent paper and then folded such that it remained on the inside surface of the sleeve pages. The ink writings appear as mirror writings on the outside surface owing to transmission through the translucency of the paper. The text was written on a slant on part of each page.
