Big Lovely Comma, 1968
Each drawing consists of a large, inked comma, one facing left and one facing right set on a dotted line. Or is one a comma and the other a quote mark? The translucent sheet is placed over the paper one and each has a single comma drawn upon it. This is designated as No.501 in Gerz's Catalogue Raisonee Volume III but the primary object is the one on translucent paper. So the preceding analysis of the two works may b incorrect and the one on plain paper may be only a copy. -- Source of annotation: Marvin or Ruth Sackner.
