This review of the exhibition "Carl Andre: Sculpture as Place, 1958- 2010" at Dia: Beacon is by Holland Cotter. It describes how "Writing poetry was Mr. Andre's initial calling...Even if he had not gone on to art, the poetry would be of interest. And in it, the sculptor-to-be is already evident.
