Auction catalogue. The auction featured Italian Futurism with empasis on the visual works of Balla and Severini. Vladimir Mayakovsky was a Russian artist and poet associated with cubo-futurism and revolutionary propaganda art. When the Civil War ended in 1921, Mayakovsky became the leader of the Moscow LEF (Left Front of the Arts) group and the editor of its journal. This volume presents Mayakovsky's revolutionary poetry, accompanied by color, full page reproductions of collages and photomontages. Also inlcudes an essay by Vladimir Remes, with illustrations of works by Rodchenko, Tatlin, and George Grosz. -- Source of annotation: Marvin or Ruth Sackner.

Paris-Moscow was one of four major exhibitions curated and designed by the Pompidou Centre dealing with the art connections in Paris and between Paris and three other major cities in the first third of the 20th century. The other exhibitions were Paris-Berlin, Paris-New York and Paris-Paris. This is the fourth version of the work first made in 1922. The word Pivo painted on the wood background in large letters means beer in English.
