Materials Specific Details
This addendum is a gift of Julia O'Brien-Merrill, whose parents were involved in the Progressive Party in Massachusetts. Ms. O'Brien-Merrill was unaware of their existence until the mid nineteen nineties, when her father gave them to her and asked her to care for them. Probably owing to the red scare in the early 1950s her parents had hidden the books and papers.
Materials relating to Mr. and Mrs. A. Walter O'Brien are at the Maine Historical Society.
