The Jane Teaford papers date from 1969 to 2017 and measure 20 linear inches in four boxes. The papers are arranged into five series: Campaigns, Committees, Correspondence, and League of Women Voters, and Legislation. The bulk of the collection concerns Teaford’s campaigns and correspondence as a candidate for the Iowa State House of Representatives and her work on the Human Resources committee . The first four series contain materials from throughout Teaford’s time as in the Iowa House including speech drafts, bill and amendment drafts, reports of the Democratic Caucus, newspaper clippings, and correspondence between colleagues in the Iowa Legislature and between constituents. The League of Women Voters series includes materials from Teaford’s terms as president of the Waterloo-Cedar Falls League and speeches she gave as president of the League of Women Voters of Iowa.
