The Jessie M. Buthmann Meyer papers date from 1908 to 1982 and measure 5 linear inches (1 box). The papers are arranged in two series: Biographical and Diaries. The Biographical series (1908-1968) includes grade school report cards for Jessie Buthmann and her siblings, as well as school playbills. Also included is an autograph book and a photograph of Buthmann’s classmates from Iowa State Teachers College, Iowa teaching contracts, and other materials.

The Diaries series (1935-1982) consists of eight diaries kept by Meyer from 1967 to 1982 and one diary kept by her daughter Berthelene from 1935 to 1941.
