Scope and Contents
The Danish words "red" and "dor" are superimposed in large black typefaces and set upon the red background of this print. The image is also reproduced in Steen's book "riv selv," that is also held by the Sackner Archive. *WEB Steen 2002. According to Steen, this silkscreen was printed in 1963. He was uncertain as to whether it was done in 1963 or 1964. The poem is mirrored so that the viewer can also read it from the verso. Steen takes the Danish word for red (ROD), and mirrors the first letter, If the reader views it from behind, and gets the Danish word for door (DOR). -- Source of annotation: Marvin or Ruth Sackner.
