Scope and Contents

This book was published on the occasion of an exhibition, "Le livre futuriste," held at l'Hotel Galliffet de Paris, October 1984. The extensive listing of Futurist publications and art works includes reproductions of several works held by the Sackner Archive. These consist of two drawings by Rognoni, "Viadott" 1916 and "Bombardment." The latter has a small section ripped from the lower right corner that has been cropped from its illustratration in this catalogue. The Archive also holds a third Rognoni Futurist drawing not reproduced in Lista's catalogue. Other works held by the Sackner Archive that are reproduced include: Prampolini's cover for Cangiullo's "Poesia Pentagramata;" Cangiulllo's "Caffeconcerto;" Soffici's "Bif & ZF + 18" trade and deluxe editions; Marinetti's "Zang Tumb Toumb;" "Depero's "Bolt Book," original and facsimile editions; D'Albisola (cover) and Marinetti's "Parole in Liberta Futuriste" (tin book); Munari (cover) and D'Albisola's "Languria Lirica" (tin book). The introduction (page 12) reproduces a shaped poem by Marco Wahtuch that depicts a portrait form with words, Perino Editore:Rome, 1992. The brief biographies at the end of this book provide the pseudonyms and actual names of various Futurist poets and painters. -- Source of annotation: Marvin or Ruth Sackner.
