Scope and Contents
The theme of this book is the vernacular language of America discovered and documented by Fella from the landscape of cities, towns and countryside. In addition to the photographs by Fella, several pages are reproduced from calligraphic text from his notebooks. Lewis Blackwell and Lorraine Wild contributed essays and the photographs were edited by Lucy Bates. -- Source of annotation: Marvin or Ruth Sackner.
