Scope and Contents
This work is a radical change in visual imagery for Zellen, i.e., drawings rather than photographs but she still retains lettering in the work albeit now hand drawn in contrast to formal computer type lettering. The works that comprise Jody Zellen's works on paper from "Of a Lost Utopia," a gallery show at paul kopeikin gallery los angeles, are poetic meditations on the fragmented way she reads, retains and responds to the daily newspaper, using both old and new technologies. -- Source of annotation: Marvin or Ruth Sackner.
