Furnival writes that he sends Dowden the Plakats that he had requested. Furnival comments about the Destruction In Art Symposium as follows: "Most of the people seemed to be really mixed up and quite wrong about the therapeutic value of destruction in art - but I expect that is my own personal bias!" Furnival writes Dowden of the financial difficulties of publishing and distributing Openings Press material and asks him to take some of the work to bookshops. Gomringer asks de Campos for a contribution to his konkrete poesie series of books and provides the particulars. Subsequently, de Campos submits a manuscript that was not published because Gomringer ceased publication of this anthology. This letter is a lengthy polemic in which Cobbing argues with Chopin's assertions on contesting the history of sound poetry. He dates and mentions his own performances of sound poetry from his first attempts in 1942.
