Scope and Contents John Maizels is the editor of Outsider Magazine and a practicing artist whose themes feature untranslatable hieroglyphics and assemblages incorporating surrealistic, whimsical creatures. Examples of these works are held by the Sackner Archive. In the introduction to this book by Roger Cardinal, Jean Dubuffet is prominently mentioned as bringing the importance of Outsider Art to the contempory art public.
