Bar executed nine colored engravings for nine poems by nine authors texts, namely: Francis Marmande, Perol Jean, Jean Echenoz, Joelle Leandre, John Ramallo, Andre Velter, Yves Buin, Danielle Bello, and Andre Hodier. The foreword was written by Lucien Masson. This work was awarded the first prize in the Festival of the Book held at Soultz, France in 2004. -- Source of annotation: Marvin or Ruth Sackner.

This is the maquette for the poster of Furnival's exhibition in the Cairn Gallery 1994, The Locative Case: Typographical Drawings, a work also held by the Sackner Archive. Newby, a student of Furnivals has utilzed word imagery to characterize Furniva personality. His hair is formed by "Ha Ha," forehead by "fine line," eyes by "lets play" and "lets pray," upper lip by 'British Spirit," and chin by "chinny rub."
