Portfolio Chopin, 1978
The print by Chopin, entitled "Rockets" is numbered 1/XXX and is flat in contrast to the folded print in the limited edition portfolio. Similarly, the drawing with handwritten text by Heidsieck is part of the maquette along with an unfolded print. This drawing is a chronologic accounting of the relationship between Heidsieck (BH) and Chopin (HC) from extracts of letters. The latter is listed in the database as a separate entry but is stored in the Chopin drawer. This work includes seven original typwriter poems made by Chopin. -- Source of annotation: Marvin or Ruth Sackner.

Procrustes' Bed / Lown, Rebecca ; Meador C., 1990
The theme deals with cosmetic surgery of the face, breasts and buttocks in women. Lown writes that Procrustes was a Greek who offered a night's lodging to travellers. He had two beds, a small and a large one. Short lodgers were given the large bed and were racked to fit them. Taller ones were assigned the small bed and Procrustes sawed off the portion of their legs extending beyond its length. -- Source of annotation: Marvin or Ruth Sackner.

Rechtsschreibung / Gerz, Jochen., 1968
The English translation of the German word, 'Rechtschreibung' is 'spelling.' Gerz has deliberately misspelled the word as 'Rechtsschreibung,' i.e., with an extra 's.' This might be a pun on the word, 'Rechtsbeugung,' a closely related word which means perversion (misspelling?) of the course of justice. The typed page but not the altered negative is designated No.485 in Gerz's Catalogue Raisonne Volume III. -- Source of annotation: Marvin or Ruth Sackner.
